Vapour was initially commissioned as part of the programming for Artful Park, an exhibition of temporary public artworks that were installed at various locations throughout Sydney’s Centennial Parklands.

The installation consisted of a group of hand-lathed timber shapes set atop metal rods anchored in the subterranean marsh of the Parkland’s Lachlan Swamp. Handcrafted and labour intensive , the droplets forms reference droplets rising from the swamp surface.

An interpretation of Vapour was later realised as part of a private commission for a private residence. Here the collection of rods were welded into position inside a custom-designed and droplet-shaped metal tray unit.
