Inside a Radio Wave was commissioned for Vertel and installed for Sculpture by the Sea Bondi in Sydney. The modular event structure was fabricated for multiple event assemblies and container transportable. The project was a collaboration with Willea Ferris A&US.
It was developed in consultation with engineers, Sculpture by the Sea staff, Waverley Council and the client Vertel, addressing the site concerns and event requirements, while maintaining the integrity of the structure as a dynamic marker for Vertel. The form is a representation of analogue and digital signals combined in a single twisting radio wave. Two larger figure of eight structures form the main perimeter shape, with a third smaller twisted form interweaving between the two, dividing the space.
